This year’s contest runs Sept. 13 through submission deadline on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016. Winners will be announced during Catholic Schools Week in early 2017.  The essay contest is sponsored by Catholic Textbook Project (CTP), publishers of history textbooks for Catholic students.

“Catholic students benefit tremendously from learning and studying how faith influences the daily lives and choices of human individuals throughout history,” says Michael Van Hecke, founder and president of Catholic Textbook Project.

This year’s essay contest has eight divisions, as follows:

  • For Catholic school students: Grade 5, Grade 6, Grades 7/8 and High School
