The State Board of Education is now accepting nominations for its inaugural Student Heroes Award, a new student recognition program approved by the Board in February.
The Student Heroes program recognizes Texas public school students in pre-K through high school who do outstanding things to benefit their fellow students. One student from each of the 15 Board districts will be recognized.
The deadline for nominations is April 16. Recipients will be announced in May. For award requirements and other information, visit tea.texas.gov.
