Camps Rio Vista for Boys and Sierra Vista for Girls are private, family owned and operated camps in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, about 2 hours west of Austin. At Camps Rio Vista and Camp Sierra Vista, our traditions, reputation, and experience set us apart. Our smaller size helps us to emphasize the family atmosphere that we feel is so important. The close family setting provides a comfortable and inviting place to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally, while building lasting skills, friendships and memories. One special aspect of our camps, being brother/sister camps, is that families with sons and daughters can send their children to camp at the same time and at the same location where they will experience camp programs unique to their gender.
Located on over 100 acres along the crystal clear Guadalupe River, both camps offer over 40 various activities guaranteed to challenge and excite every boy and girl. We have 1-week, 2-week, and 4-week terms available for boys and girls ages six to sixteen. Campers will be able to create their own schedules each summer, choosing eight or more activities from a list that we are always updating. Just to name a few of the options, we have horseback, swimming, team and individual sports, archery, rifelry, drama, dance, arts and crafts, journalism, camp craft, guitar, swimming…. The opportunities are abundant, the experiences memorable, the skills learned and the friendships made will last a lifetime.
