Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) in San Marcos plans to host its 5th annual BabyFest on Sunday, July 27. The event hopes to provide new moms, expecting moms and those considering pregnancy a chance to become familiar with the latest in products and services for moms and babies.
“Within Hays County we have so many great resources for mom, baby and family,” said Margie Lieck, CTMC Director of Women’s Services. “Moms and moms-to-be are already incredibly busy, so it is important that we bring all of these resources and organizations together for a fun, one-stop ‘shop-ortunity’and so much more.”
This year, CTMC invites all of its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) graduates and their families back for a special NICU reunion. The unit opened in conjunction with the new CTMC Women’s Center in 2009. In addition, the event will feature mini-tours of the Women’s Center and CTMC’s Honeysuckle Mommy Baby Boutique. There will also be healthy snacks, fun activities for dads and children, great door prizes and dozens of booths featuring products and services for new parents, moms-to-be and their babies.
Additional highlights of BabyFest include networking opportunities with area new moms and moms-to-be, baby boutiques, eco-friendly products, nutritional options for moms and babies, information on vaccinations and safety, representatives from obstetrics, pediatric physicians who practice at CTMC and more.
BabyFest will be held July 27 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the CTMC Main Lobby and central corridors ofthe CTMC Women’s Center. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.ctmc.org or call 512-753-3818.
