Fantastic Magic Camp –A mainstream camp that understands that every child has special needs.
21 years of sharing our magic with children ages 5 to 12
The Magic Camp is often cited by children as the most fun they’ve had all summer. Each day, the campers have age and developmentally appropriate classes in magic, juggling, and puppetry. In addition, there is often a Bonus Class, in which campers can choose from a new skill (ventriloquism, clowning, and balloon sculpture) or additional work on their favorite subject.
Campers are encouraged to try new things and improve their skills. In between classes, there will of course be time for lunch, snacks and games, lots of games.
Every day includes a professional show: magician, juggler, clown, puppeteer, ventriloquist, storyteller…but most often a MAGICIAN! Family members and friends are welcome to visit us for the shows.
Some days have special themes: Carnival Day, Wizard Wednesday and Circus Day are popular favorites.
Everyone on our staff has received at least 300 hours of targeted training in Life Skills, Teaching, Special Needs and Performing and everyone on our staff was at one point a camper at Fantastic Magic Camp. Together they strive to give your child a sense of self worth and to provide them with a true sense of community.
We have been voted “Best Summer Camp” in the Austin Chronicle multiple times and last year we received an award from the Austin Chamber of Commerce for being the “Most Uniquely Austin Business” of 2013.
We are centrally located in Highland Mall, just off of IH-35 and offer Spring, Summer and Winter sessions.
As one of our camp parents suggested, “It’s the funnest summer ever!”
