Last week, developers announced three new, one-of-a-kind play areas available to the community at the Domain II. The three distinct interactive areas boast an engaging design appropriate for children of all ages.

Each area is constructed of kid-friendly materials reflecting Austin’s individual style and character, featuring replicas of a longhorn, an armadillo, frogs, turtles and butterflies. Upon entering each play element, a child can read the storyboard that outlines a fractured fable and then become part of the story, complete with sound effects.

“We are very excited to introduce this highly requested amenity to The Domain,” said Lea Willingham, area general manager of the Domain. “Our new children’s play areas are just one of the ways in which we have elevated the shopping experience for our customers and their families through our ongoing enhancement project.”

These much-awaited play elements are free, outdoor activity centers that offer families an appealing break while shopping. The three areas combined include a total of 800 square feet of space and consist of climbers, slides, individualized storyboards, hand sanitizer stations, a stroller area and adult seating.
