In this fun and fast-paced 2-week musical theatre camp, campers will perform Broadway style musical numbers and iconic pop hits on the historic Paramount Stage!  Campers will not only be preparing for their dynamic final performance, but they will also receive training in voice, acting, dance, and production from professionally trained theatre artists.  All sessions are different and unique – Sign up for all four!

Session 1: June 8th – June 19th (Performance on June 19th at 7:00pm)

Session 2: July 22nd – July 3rd (Performance on July 3rd at 7:00pm)

Session 3: July 20th – July 31st (Performance on July 31st at 7:00pm)

Session 4: August 3rd – August 14th (Performance on August 14th at 7:00pm)

Camp Story Wranglers – $600

Grades 3 – 8, FULL DAY 9:00 – 4:00

July 6th – July 17th (Performance on July 17th at 7:00pm)


For the kids who love to write AND perform! One Session Only!


Inspired by our hugely popular in-school Paramount Story Wranglers program, campers will explore story-writing, songwriting, costume and prop design, as well as acting, to create a new, thrilling, hilarious, weird, poignant, SNL-style, you-name-it production. This camp will not only challenge campers to be creative writers, but will challenge them to bring their stories to life! The Stateside Theatre is turned over to our campers on Friday night for their musical-sketch comedy production.

Technique Intensives -$400

Grades 6 – 12 Half Day

Half day, pre-professional technique classes for older students!


Film Acting – July 6th – July 17th 1:00 – 4:00pm

The stars of the silver screen have burned brightly at the Paramount for years. This intensive workshop will have students up on their feet learning the ins and outs of TV and Film Acting. Through acting exercises, scene work and improvisation, students will learn basic techniques and strategies for working in front of a camera. Are you ready for your close up?


Stand-Up Comedy- July 20th – July 31st 1:00 – 4:00pm

At the home of the Moontower Comedy Festival a local professional comic will introduce students to the process of writing and performing a stand-up comedy routine or “set”.  Students will learn everything from writing jokes to working a crowd. The next chapter of Austin’s world class comedy scene will include your camper!


Song Writing – August 3rd – August 14th 1:00 – 4:00pm

Every year The Paramount and Stateside Theatres host legendary songwriters from Texas and across the country. Our Song Writing intensive will help foster the next generation! After an introduction to the basics of songwriting, students will have the opportunity to work with a professional songwriter to create their own songs, both in groups and by themselves.

*Playing piano, guitar, or any instrument is a plus, but not required.
