For their academic achievements, community involvement and future career goals, seven San Marcos High School students were awarded with scholarships from Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) at a reception on May 25.

Each student received $1,000 to be applied to tuition, books and/or living expenses during their first year in college. The students honored are Tony Austin Castillo, Daniela Martinez, Clarissa Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, Erica Rodriguez-Sanchez, Illiana Serrano and Allison Yager.

Other area students who received CTMC scholarships from CTMC are Emily Bagwell – Lockhart High School, Mariel Mayhew – Wimberley High School and Dara Vasquez – Lehman High School.

CTMC has been awarding scholarships to area high school seniors since 1997.

“Providing these scholarships is one of our annual highlights,” said CTMC CEO/President Anthony Stahl. “We are pleased to award these funds to assist with their upcoming college careers and wish them all a prosperous future.”
