Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas and Seton Medical Center Austin celebrated the opening of the new Ronald McDonald Family Room on May 7.
Typically located near the neonatal intensive care units, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms offer families a nurturing place to rest and regroup while staying close to their hospitalized children.
The Seton Medical Center Austin Ronald McDonald Family Room is the fourth Family Room to open in the past six years. As the largest Family Room, the space is 1800 square feet with a living room, kitchen/dining area, four bedrooms, two full baths, laundry facilities and a tranquility room. Families also have access to computers, the Internet and a children’s play area.
