The Soul of a Musician live music series continues through June with Sunday performances showcasing local artists. Founded by Rev. Merrill Wade, the series has transformed into an important therapeutic outlet for the city’s musicians to explore the emotional and spiritual dimensions of their sound.
Though sponsored by a church, the gathering is not a religious event. The featured musician performs two original songs, then Rev. Wade leads a discussion with the artist about the spirituality and inspiration behind the songs.
All series performances take place on Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at The Iron Cactus North, 10001 Stonelake Blvd. The shows are free and open to the public.
