Young aspiring artists in the Austin community will have the opportunity to work with some of the country’s top musical theater industry professionals this summer at the Fearless Young Artists Summer Intensive. The Intensive takes place August 12-22 at Northwest Recreation Center, followed by a Showcase Finale on August 23 starring all of the students.
Broadway Jazz, Broadway Tap, Vocal Development, Acting Technique, Improvisation, and Booking the Job are just a few of the classes to be taught. “As a Broadway performer for over 10 years, I have seen first hand the benefit of training students in every aspect of the arts,” said LaQuet Sharnell Pringle, FYA Artistic Director. “Fearless Young Artists is the training ground for the next generation of dancers, singers and actors, as well as technical designers, musical directors, playwrights, composers and stage managers.”

Fearless Young Artists brings an extensive arts education and a rich, diverse experience to young people with a passion for creation but without the financial means for specialized training. It is a place that nurtures and develops young performers through year-round workshops, performances and summer intensives, led by current and relevant working theatrical professionals.
The FYA Faculty includes current Broadway performers and local Austin industry professionals. LaQuet Sharnell Pringle, Artistic Director, has performed in many Broadway shows, including Memphis The Musical, Lysistrata Jones, The Lion King and Sweet Charity.
