Pangea Network’s first Young Women’s Leadership Challenge Austin conference took place June 12 to 17 at The Girls’ School of Austin. Organized to be an intimate experience, 16 young female participants from Austin-area schools were able to speak with leaders in business, finance, health and science, such as lawyer and politician Wendy Davis.
“Our decision to expand the YWLC program came from an overwhelming interest from prospective participants Texas-wide,” says Nicole Minor, founder and executive director of The Pangea Network.
Beyond each six-day conference, Pangea’s YWLC program also offers fall and spring workshops and a speaker’s series. All events are designed to bring in the best and brightest minds to empower the Pangea network, an international nonprofit dedicated to empowering motivated individuals in Kenya and the US.
