Heart O’ the Hills Camp for Girls
Established in 1953 and nestled along the beautiful South Fork of the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas, Heart O’ the Hills is a private, traditional summer camp for girls aged 6–16. Owned and operated by the Ragsdale Family, the camp offers a character-building atmosphere with limited enrollment, ensuring a personable experience for each camper.

- Activities: With over 40 instruction-oriented activities, campers can explore a diverse range of interests, including:
- Equestrian: English and Western riding.
- Water Sports: Red Cross swimming instruction, canoeing, and canoe.
- Creative Arts: Drama, dance, arts and crafts, ceramics, lsewing, and journalism.
- Athletics: Archery, riflery, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer, field sports, cheerleading, and climbing.
- Outdoor Skills: Campcraft, hiking, outdoor cooking, pioneering, and fishing.
- Unique Activities: Gaga, 9-square, and pickleball.
- Special Events: Beyond daily activities, campers participate in evening programs, seminar days, and field days, fostering a sense of community and tradition.
- Facilities: The camp features fully air-conditioned cabins and dining facilities. Meals are served family-style, upholding a tradition of etiquette and communal dining.
- Age Divisions: Campers are grouped into five age divisions, ensuring appropriate cabin assignments and peer interactions.
- Session Options: Flexible enrollment allows campers to attend for two weeks, four weeks, or the entire summer, accommodating various family schedules.
- Brother Camp: Heart O’ the Hills is the sister camp to Camp Stewart for Boys, located just seven miles away. Both camps share the same dates and rates, providing cohesive family options.
