At TexARTS in Lakeway, TX, you’ll sing, dance, act, and create in our week-long summer camps! Whether you are here to play or train, we have the camp for you.

Ages 5 – 12

“Best Of” Musical Theatre Camps – Sing, dance, act, and create in our popular “Best of” musical theatre camps! Each week you’ll have fun learning your favorite songs, scenes, and dances from such Broadway blockbusters such as Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Matilda, and many more. Each camp is under the guidance of experienced professionals and will focus on basic vocal technique, acting skills, dance and musical theatre. New sessions begin weekly and run from May through August. For ages 5 – 12.

Ho Ho Ho! Cool off this summer with our Christmas in July: A Holiday Dance Camp! Students will get a jump start on the holidays with song and dance selections from The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol and other holiday favorites! Students can register for beginning (ages 5-7) or intermediate (8-12) levels and will perform in an end of camp showing for family and friends. July 17-21

Ages 9-13

Each day of TexARTS’ Becoming the Character: Stage Makeup Camp will be an engaging, hands-on exploration of the world of stage and movie makeup. Students will learn the fundamentals of makeup, color theory, safety and hygiene, glamour, aging, and special effects. Makeup kits provided. June 5-9. Ages 9-13.

That’s Hilarious! Comedic Acting camp is tailor made for laughs! Students will be coached on improvisation, stand up, and sketch. They’ll also try their hand at some of the different styles of comedy in an end of camp showing for family and friends. It’s all fun and games here! July 10-14. Ages 9-13

Lights, Camera, Action: Acting for Camera camp is a fantastic introduction to capturing your best performance on camera! Students will learn about the camera itself, the basics of acting, how to frame shots, create scenes with a partner, and much more. Whether behind the camera or in front of it, students are bound to have a blast. June 19-23. Ages 9-13

Make your big entrance with our Acting for Stage: Improv, Combat, and More! camp. Students will be coached on improvisation, stage combat, acting fundamentals, and scene work while building content for their end of camp showing for family and friends. August 7-11. Ages 9-13.

Training Camps for Ages 7+

The Broadway Masterclass is a one-week workshop specially designed for advanced students with a strong passion for the performing arts. Led by Broadway veterans and masters, students will dive into the three disciplines of musical theater – acting, voice and dance while their instructors provide industry insights and career advice. From auditions to performance, this week of master classes empowers students to take their technique to the next level. June 26-30, Ages 13+

Our Dance Intensive: Technique program is a one-week immersion in the world of dance. Led by a stellar team of professional guest artists from across the nation; students will study dance techniques from classical ballet to the contemporary styles of today. July 24-28, 1:30-5pm. Ages 7-12 and 13+.

New this year is our Dance Intensive: Repertory class Students will learn historical and famous choreography directly from the professionals that have performed them! This program is choreography only and will not focus on technique, registration for the technique portion of the intensive is recommended but not required. July 24-28, 5:30-7:00pm. Ages 11+
