Camp Switchwillo logoCamp Switch Willo, located on 23 beautifully landscaped acres in Northwest Austin, combines qualified staff, experienced horses, and excellent facilities to instill an appreciation for horses and the sport of riding in every child. Riders are educated in a relaxed, supportive learning environment emphasizing safety with first class training professionals in a tree shaded ring.
Campers are matched to the best horse or pony for their experience level. Integral parts of the process are the grooming, tacking up, and bathing of the horse or pony selected for each child. Young beginners learn to get the horse to walk without assistance while others may learn to post the trot, canter or jump. Everyone gets to advance their horseback riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge, and enjoy riding with friends both in the two as well as four legged variety.
At all times campers are under the supervision of First Aid and CPR certified adults.

Each week of camp ends with a special horse show for the parents where the campers get to display their newly learned talents. Every child receives a ribbon and an award for their hard work during the week. Parents are given advance notice of when their child will be showing so as not to miss this important event.
