Recently, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas received a check for $21,250 in support of its Healing Hearts program. The check came from Tatum’s Love Foundation, an organization founded by Ben and Emilee Blackburn to honor a daughter lost as a baby.
The Healing Hearts program helps families heal from the loss of a child. The Blackburns sought comfort and counseling through the program, and their mission was to give back and bring awareness of it to other families going through similar circumstances.
“Bringing people together, sharing our story, and sharing information about the Healing Hearts program helped us turn our pain into purpose,” says Emilee.
Tatum’s Love Foundation raised the money through its 1st annual Tee it Up for Tatum golf tournament, held March 7, 2016 at Twin Creeks Country Club.
