In celebration of the 75th birthday of Curious George, publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) has announced Curious World Tour, a free playful learning festival for kids and families. The tour will arrive in Round Rock and Austin this week and is a nationwide pop up experience featuring a trailer that unfolds to provide a personal journey with beloved HMH characters.
HMH will work with local nonprofit organizations in each city to donate a total of 75,000 books and resources.
In Round Rock, the event takes place July 6 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Main Street Plaza. The beneficiary is the Literacy Council of Williamson County.
In Austin, the event takes place July 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Texas State Capitol. The beneficiary is BookSpring.
“We know that children are born learning, and that play and exploration are essential for healthy growth and development,” says Linda K. Zecher, President, CEO & Director of HMH. “Our goal with Curious World Tour is to bring unique, fun early learning experiences directly to children and families in their communities.”
