Brain Chase is launching its first and only Texas Edition of its summer learning challenge and state-wide treasure hunt for children ages 6-16 on June 19. With the school year over, Brain Chase seeks to keep kids mentally sharp between school years and help combat summer learning loss.
This Texas challenge will run concurrently with Brain Chase’s annual summer Global Edition. The Texas challenge, like the global one, is a seven-week program where students will complete weekly learning assignments in a variety of electives — math, reading, art, engineering, coding, typing, etc. — that unlock animated webisodes giving clues to the location of a real golden treasure hidden somewhere within the state of Texas. The first participant to complete the learning challenges and guess the treasure’s location will win a scholarship of $10,000 and will travel with a parent to the secret location to unearth the treasure.
Brain Chase has partnered with Rosetta Stone, Khan Academy, Code Combat, Typing Club, and more to create a great lineup of educational challenges within the program.
While the buried treasure for this Texas Edition is located within the state, the Global Edition has brought past winners and their parents to travel to Japan, Norway, Spain and Vanuatu, a Pacific island nation west of Fiji.
