On Nov. 15, the Anti-Defamation League Austin held its No Place for Hate Youth Summit at UT’s Royal-Memorial Stadium. Participants included more than 550 seventh and eighth grade students and educators from 55 local middle schools.

The event works to empower students and faculty to build campuses of respect. Student participants learn the dangers of bigotry, how to recognize bullying on their campuses, tools to confront the behavior and how to be an ally. Students also develop post-summit strategies to increase tolerance on their campuses, which are implemented with the help of their campus sponsors.
