On April 18, Round Rock ISD hosts a Celebration of Families that will include a Wellness Challenge component. The Wellness Challenge encourages kids and parents to be spirited, to be active and to attend the event for a chance to win up to $1,000 for their elementary or middle school.

Participants in the challenge can visit over 40 workshops, activities and booths at Round Rock High School between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

“It’s important for us to host a world class event for our families and community, and this is a great way to encourage participation,” said RRISD Associate Director of Communications and event co-planner Corey Ryan. “With our outstanding business partners sponsoring the event, we were able to fund activities and pay for the wellness incentive program for two middle and two elementary schools, totaling $3,000 for campus wellness programs.”

Activities being hosted at the event include bubble soccer, a Camp Gladiator obstacle course, kids fun run, Zumba, a Microsoft demo of Xbox Fitness games and the Microsoft Band powered by Microsoft Health, American Heart Association Jump Rope Challenge and a rock wall.
