“If you somehow positively affect one child and they get a sense of self and confidence or even just happiness, and they bring that back to their family and their school, camp can affect millions of people.” – A YMCA of Austin Camp Counselor

YMCA of Austin Summer Day Camps offer children safe, exciting, and memory-making day camp experiences.

At YMCA day camps, campers make friends while learning the values of diversity and cooperation. Best of all, you can be assured your kids are having fun in a friendly, caring, and safe environment.

This summer, the YMCA of Austin will offer 23 camps across Travis, Hays and Bastrop Counties and include Kinder, Theme, Sports, and Adventure Camps. All camps will offer swimming, field trips, games, crafts, and character development activities. Camps will operate from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm at designated schools, churches, and YMCA facilities.

Activities are designed to build and reinforce the YMCA of Austin’s character development values (Respect, Responsibility, Honest, Faith, and Caring) and the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets.

Fees are weekly, and financial assistance is available to all families on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration begins Monday, February 16th.

Kinder Camp (4-5 years) is perfect for children who have not yet attended Kindergarten and offers all the fun of day camp. Kinder themes to include Pirates & Princesses, Art Mania, and On the Move.

Theme Camp (5-12 years) is the traditional day camp experience. A different theme each week will offer kids new experiences mixed with old camp favorites. Themes to include Sharks ‘n Minnows (swim lessons), Camp’s Got Talent, and Artful Antics.

Sports Camp (8-12 years) is a perfect destination for every child who enjoys playing sports and being active. YMCA Sports Camp introduces and emphasizes the fundamentals of changing weekly sports. From skills to drills to the importance of teamwork, Sports Camp provides a fun and supportive environment for athletes of all skill levels. Whether your camper is new to sports, a seasoned vet, or somewhere in-between, YMCA Sports Camp is a perfect choice for your child.

Adventure Camp (11-14 years) Designed for the mature and older school-aged kids, Adventure Camp offers a greater opportunity for specific skill development.
