TexARTS “new” Theater and Academy is located in the heart of Lakeway.  Its 3-acre campus boasts a state-of-the-art 100-seat theatre, large dance rooms, and space for many arts activities.

TexARTS offers different types of camps to inspire kids of various ages.  If your child is new to musical theatre, our 1-week “Best of Camps” are a great way for them to have fun throughout the summer.  We also offer specialized performance and technical theater camps for older kids. Step into the enchanting worlds in our week-long musical theater camps! Young performers will bring the magical stories to life, singing and dancing to favorite songs from the movies or TV shows. With a mix of creativity, teamwork, and fun, our camps will give your child summer friends and memories to remember!  Check out our website for the latest titles and schedules.

Half-day (ages 5-8) and full-day (ages 8-11) options are available that end in a mini studio performance on Fridays.

Into the WoodsJR  – 2-week Musical Theatre Performance & Tech Theatre Camp

Performance Camp: June 2 – June 13
Full Day – Ages 10-14

Embark on an unforgettable journey in our two-week Into the Woods Jr. performance camp! Students will dive deep into the magical and dramatic world of this iconic musical, learning to perform its captivating songs and intricate scenes while refining their acting, singing, and dancing skills. With professional guidance and a focus on teamwork, this immersive experience will leave young performers with a deeper understanding of theater and unforgettable memories! This camp ends with a performance in our theater with lite costumes on Friday.

Technical Theatre: June 2 – June 13 

Half Day – Ages 10-14.

Join our hands-on Technical Theatre Camp and help bring Into the Woods Jr. to life behind the scenes! Campers will explore the essential elements of stagecraft, including lighting, sound, set design, and costume creation, all while working to support the production. With professional guidance, they’ll gain valuable experience in the technical side of theater, learning how each element contributes to making the magic happen on stage. Perfect for aspiring techies, this camp combines creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fun and dynamic environment!

Students will be the running crew for the performance of Into the Woods Jr. on Friday at 3:30pm.

Songs of The Eras Tour 

June 16 -20

Half Day Camp for Ages 7-10 (9AM – Noon)
Half Day Camp for Ages 11-13 (1PM – 4PM)

Join us for a week of musical magic in our Taylor Swift-inspired vocal camp! Students will explore Taylor’s timeless hits, from catchy pop anthems to heartfelt ballads, while building their vocal technique and performance skills. This camp offers a fun, interactive experience where kids can channel their inner superstar and shine on stage!

There will be a brief parent show-off on Friday.

Jedi Training Camp

June 23 – 27

Half Day Camp for Ages 7-10 (9AM – Noon)
Half Day Camp for Ages 11-13 (1PM – 4PM)

Get ready to become a Jedi in our exciting week-long Jedi Training Camp! Recruits will learn the ways of the Force, practicing lightsaber skills, mastering Jedi moves, and engaging in fun missions to test their bravery and teamwork. By the end of the week, your child will be ready to join the ranks of the Jedi Order, equipped with confidence and a sense of adventure!

There will be a brief parent show-off on Friday.

Tik Tok Dances

July 14 – 18
Half Day Camp for Ages 7-10

Get ready to groove and create in our week-long TikTok Dance Camp! Young dancers will learn the latest (age-approprate) viral dances, perfect their moves, and even choreograph their own routines to share with friends and family. With plenty of fun, creativity, and rhythm, this camp will have your student dancing like a star in no time!

There will be a brief parent show-off at Noon on Friday.
