With 40% of  children diagnosed with allergies like asthma and hay fever, managing symptoms during spring is a priority for many families. One in five parents would trade their yearly vacation to avoid spring cleaning, with 83% finding it the toughest season to keep their homes clean.

A recent study revealed that over 90% of respondents or their children suffer from allergies or asthma, making pollen-proofing their homes a priority. With this in mind, a London Rubbish Removal Company has provided expert tips on how to pollen-proof your home and garden ahead of allergy season.

  1. Choose pollen-free or low-pollen plants

In order to avoid hay fever symptoms, it is important to choose pollen-free or low-pollen plants when decorating and gardening. Plants such as geranium, iris, ferns, hosta, rosemary, begonia, tea plants, clematis, lilies and daylilies are all low-pollen plants.
